En pointe er vel ikke engang nok, Uruguay skal prise sig lykkelig for at det Italien og England de er i gruppe med, med tanke på de trupsammensÊtning- så har de stadigvÊk nok kvali i start XI til at få de nÞdvendige point.........men

Santos-angriberen Neílton, kendt som Nuevo Neymar, hvad kan siges om ham?

En billigere version af Neymar, men han har nok heller ikke ligeså stor potentiale. Han faldt meget i niveau i lÞbet af sÊsonen og er overflÞdig. Har I tÊnkt jer at kÞbe ham?

Ney Franco é novo técnico do Flamengo

Para o espanto de muitos, o técnico Jayme Valente acabou sendo demitido na tarde desta segunda-feira, segundo uma rádio de São Paulo que falou com o treinador, ele só foi avisado de sua demissão apenas às 17h30 da tarde, quando todos os meios de comunicação já mostravam que o Flamengo havia acertado com seu novo técnico, Ney Franco. O novo treinador, e demitiu ontem do Vitória alegando problemas pessoais, e assinará contrato nesta terça-feira com o Flamengo.

Teo Gutiérrez y Balanta hicieron fútbol

BUENOS AIRES -- River, el único líder del campeonato, volvió al trabajo luego de gozar del lunes libras tras el fundamental triunfo ante Argentinos que lo posiciona de manera inmejorable de cara a la última fecha.

Durante la mañana del martes, aquellos que fueron titulares el domingo realizaron una serie de trabajos regenerativos y en el gimnasio mientras que los suplentes trabajaron con ejercicios de fútbol en espacios reducidos.

La novedad en dichos trabajos pasó porque de los mismos formaron parte Teófilo Gutiérrez y Éder Álvarez Balanta, jugadores colombianos que se recuperan de sus respectivas lesiones y volverían al equipo titular el próximo domingo.

Además, están habilitados para reaparecer luego de sus respectivas lesiones Jonatan Maidana y Ariel Rojas, por lo que todo indica que será cuatro las variantes para jugar ante Quilmes, saliendo del equipo Germán Pezzella, Ramiro Funes Mori, Matías Kranevitter y Daniel Villalva.

De esta manera, de no mediar inconvenientes, los once titulares serían: Marcelo Barovero; Gabriel Mercado, Jonatan Maidana, Éder Álvarez Balanta, Leonel Vangioni; Carlos Carbonero, Cristian Ledesma, Ariel Rojas; Manuel Lanzini; Teófilo Gutiérrez, Fernando Cavenaghi.

River, puntero del Torneo Final con 34 puntos, recibirá a Quilmes buscando su primera consagración en primera división en seis años. En caso de ser campeón, los "Millonarios" jugarán la superfinal ante San Lorenzo, el próximo 25 de mayo, en San Luis.

Colombia Prays to Include Falcao in Final World Cup Roster

Colombia is praying that talismanic striker Radamel Falcao can recover from a serious knee injury to lead their return to the World Cup after a 16-year absence.

Monaco forward Falcao was tipped to become a star of the World Cup after scoring nine goals in 13 games in Colombia´s campaign to reach the finals for the first time since 1998.

His exploits included two penalties in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Chile which sealed Los Cafeteros´ World Cup berth, when they fought back from 3-0 down to clinch a crucial point.

The surgeon who operated on Falcao, who suffered knee ligament damage in a clumsy tackle by an amateur opponent during a French Cup match in January, said in April that he thought he would make the finals but he would not be 100 percent fit.

If he doesn´t make it atall then coach Jose Pekerman will have to juggle his attacking resources although he is fortunate that Colombia do not have the toughest draw.

They are in Group C against a talented but ageing Ivory Coast, Japan and a goalshy Greece side.

The omens are not good. In the three qualifying games Colombia played without Falcao, Pekerman´s side lost one and drew one before beating an already eliminated Paraguay in the final round of games.

Talented forward Teofilo Gutierrez, now settled at River Plate in Argentina after being forced to leave Racing Club in 2012 for threatening team-mates with a paintball gun, is expected to shoulder the attacking burden in Falcao´s absence.

The 28-year-old could be partnered by either Porto´s Jackson Martinez or Carlos Bacca, who has enjoyed a successful season in Spain with Sevilla.

Pekerman, who coached his native Argentina at the 2006 World Cup and also led the country´s junior sides to three FIFA Youth World Cup wins in 1995, 1997 and 2001, tended to use a 4-3-3 formation in qualifying. However he may be tempted to switch to a 4-2-3-1 in Falcao´s absence, deploying Monaco´s gifted attacking midfielder James Rodriguez alongside Macnelly Torres behind a lone striker.

Pekerman faces fewer headaches at the other end of his line-up however after a qualifying campaign which saw his team finish with the best defensive record in South America, conceding fewer goals than any other side.

Yet at the same time Pekerman will have noted the way that a rampant Chile side tore his back four apart as they raced into a 3-0 lead last year, where lumbering captain and centre-half Mario Yepes, who turned 38 in January, looked his age.

Yepes, a member of Colombia´s fabled golden generation which won the 2001 Copa America, has confirmed that he plans to retire after the World Cup.

Pekerman could potentially face an awkward decision though if he decides that his captain no longer commands a place in his starting line-up, with AC Milan´s Cristian Zapata the likely replacement.

Jeg kan sagtens se Uruguay floppe til VM, på trods af at Suarez/Cavani må få de til at lÞbe koldt ned af ryggen på forsvarerne på de Þvrige hold i gruppen.

Lugano er klart past his prime og man er ikke vanvittigt stÊrkt besat på backerne. Det er heller ikke ligefrem fordi man har turneringens bedste målmand. Faktisk er man klart svagere end Italien og England på den post, ligesom man er klart svagere i defensiven i det hele taget end Italien/England.

Jeg håber ikke at man flopper, men jeg kan sagtens se en situation hvor det bliver tre kampe og et fly tilbage til Montevideo.

Mht. Neílton og Neymar sammenligningerne.. Skulle vi nu ikke liiiige spise brÞd til inden vi begynder at sammenligne med de bedste offensivspillere i verden. Der er intet land der kan gå fuldstÊndigt i selvsving hver gang en ung knÊgt har spillet et par gode kampe som Brasilien og straks bliver de sammenlignet med legendariske spillere og nutidige superstjerner.

Sampaoli Leaves Out Suazo and Pizarro from Chile´s 30-man World Cup Squad

Jorge Sampaoli gave out his provisional 30-man list for the upcoming World Cup and there were a couple of surprises for Chilean fans. Monterrey man Humberto Suazo was left off the squad as well as Fiorentina playmaker David Pizarro.

Suazo suffered a shoulder injury once again prior to the World Cup, but this time he recovered and was able to get some playing time with Monterrey towards the end of the Liga MX campaign. Pizarro´s form was not ideal at Fiorentina, but he was still looked at as an option for La Roja after he made his return to the national team last year ending an eight-year absence.

Another surpsise was the recruitment of FC MÀlmo man Miiko Albornoz, who was given the nod after a brief period with the national team.

Sampaoli did call up Universidad de Chile goalkeeper Johnny Herrera despite the legal troubles he found himself in recently. He will have some competition as Sampaoli also called up O´Higgins goalkeeper Paulo Garcés.

Obviously the player that will take up all the headlines will be Arturo Vidal. The Juventus midfielder will be in an intense rehabilitation stint to be ready for at least one match in the group stage after he had surgery on his knee to repair a damaged meniscus.

Chile will play in Group B and will debut against Australia in Cuiabá on June 13, then they will face Spain at the Maracanã on the 18th before closing their group play against Netherlands in São Paulo on June 23.

Hehehehe.. Jeg mente mere udseendesmÊssigt. De skal selvfÞlgelig lige vise noget på banen i lÊngere tid, fÞr vi kan kalde dem noget som helst.. De ligner dog rimelig meget hinanden. Det er dét jeg mente;-)

Syntes nu du overvurderer Italien en smule rent defensivt, når det er sagt er der vel kun Godín som holder en form for kvalitet i de bagerste rÊkker hos uruguayanerne iÞjeblikket - mn det reelle problem er midtbanen, hvem skal skabe chancer ? Gaston Ramírez, Lodeiro, Pacman ? not a chance han forsÞmte at hive Arraescaeta med ...
